English is about people.
Not perfection.
At uNick Academy, children, teenagers and adults learn to communicate through conversation, curiosity and genuine human connection.

We didn't build another language school.
We built the place we wished had existed.
Our adventure with uNick Academy began over a decade ago. Before that, it was just Nick running 'English with an Englishman'. His lessons were so popular I seriously considered cloning him. I was working in a corporation at the time. But fate stepped in — the company let me go, which in hindsight turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. So instead of cloning Nick, I joined the team.
At first we divided things up — he taught adults, I taught children. But I noticed one difference — when Nick taught, the children spoke English much more willingly than in my classes. Why? The answer is actually simple — because with me it was artificially forced. That's just how our brains work — they take the path of least resistance. If this lady speaks Polish, she'll understand what I say in Polish. That's when I realised why lessons with a foreigner are so much more effective. The brain sees a natural need to communicate in another language.
And that's how it started — since Nick couldn't be cloned, and my lessons weren't as effective (though the kids and I had a blast) — we decided our school would be different. You might even say unique… or rather uNick.

Four things you'll notice from the very first conversation.
People from around the world
Our teachers come from different countries and cultures. Every lesson carries a little of their world with it — accents, stories, humour and all.
Speaking from day one
You won't wait until you're 'ready'. From your very first lesson, you're in conversation — because that's how confidence actually grows.
Mistakes are welcome
We don't flinch at wrong words or messy grammar. Mistakes mean you're trying — and trying is the whole point. We celebrate the courage to speak.
A home for people who never fit in
Many of our students never felt comfortable in traditional education — including children with ADHD, anxious adults and teenagers finding their voice. Here, that's normal.
Why is this for me?
However you arrive — as a parent, a student, or a business — there's a way in that's built around you.
A philosophy, not a method
No textbook dictates our lessons. These ideas do — in every class, with every student, every time.
Communication over perfection
Being understood matters more than being flawless.
Real conversations
From day one, you talk about real things — not scripts.
Curiosity over memorisation
Questions matter more than answers learned by heart.
Culture and connection
Language carries people, places and stories with it.
Warmth
You're a person first, a student second. Always.
Humour
If you're laughing, you're relaxed — and learning.
Teachers, not just CVs
Different countries, different accents, different senses of humour — all genuinely invested in you.

Everyone has a story worth telling.
Learning should help people become more themselves.
