General provisions
These Terms of Service (Regulamin) govern the use of the uNick Academy website and services operated by Milena Rudd (uNick Academy), hello@unick-academy.pl. By using the website or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
Services
uNick Academy provides English language education services including: individual and group lessons with international teachers, consultation bookings, the uNickorn AI tutor (an AI-powered educational tool), and digital teaching materials. The uNickorn AI tutor is powered by artificial intelligence and provides supplementary educational support. It does not replace instruction by qualified teachers.
Accounts
To access certain services (lesson plans, AI tutor), you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You may request account deletion at any time by emailing hello@unick-academy.pl.
Payments and subscriptions
Paid services are processed through Stripe. Prices are displayed exclusive of VAT; applicable VAT is added at checkout based on your location. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer within the meaning of Polish law, you have 14 days from the date of purchase to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason, unless the digital service has been fully performed with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal. To withdraw, send a clear statement to hello@unick-academy.pl.
Complaints
Complaints can be submitted by email to hello@unick-academy.pl. We will respond within 14 days. You also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
Limitation of liability
uNick Academy is not liable for: temporary unavailability of the website or AI tutor due to maintenance or technical issues, the accuracy of AI-generated content (the uNickorn tutor is an educational tool, not a certified examination service), any decisions made based on AI tutor interactions.
Intellectual property
All content on the website, including lesson plans, texts, graphics, and the uNickorn character, is protected by copyright and belongs to uNick Academy. Materials purchased from the lesson plan shop are licensed for personal classroom use only and may not be redistributed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Polish law. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent court in Poland. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights under mandatory provisions of Polish or EU law.
